About Olivia

Olivia Catanoso is from Cape May, New Jersey, and is a graduate from the Savannah College of Art & Design with a B.F.A. in Film & Television. She is currently based in New York City and is also available to work in New Jersey.

Olivia has worked on short films as a Director, Director of Photography, 1st AD, Key Grip, BTS Photographer, PA, and 2nd AC. She is also skilled in most Multi-Camera positions, but excels in camera coordinating, camera operating, live booth switching, directing, and assistant directing. Olivia is an adaptable and receptive team member and enjoys gaining experience in new jobs. 

 

In 2023, Olivia worked as the Camera Coordinator on episode 2 of SCAD's multi-camera sitcom show "Tours & Attractions", which was nominated for a student Emmy award. She would communicate with the director, assistant director, and all camera operators to design all 4 camera shots and arrange blocking.

Most recently Olivia worked as a production assistant and temporary 2nd Assistant Camera on a feature film in Cape May. In June of 2024 Olivia worked as both a set and office production assistant and temporary film runner on a feature film being shot in Atlantic City, NJ. From preparing lunch for the crew to running errands, Olivia proves herself as a hard working, communicative, and adaptable production assistant both on and off the set.

At 10 years old, Olivia's passion for film started after creating stop motion videos with dolls and short video skits with her friends. At 14 years old she had made her first short film with the Cape May Film Camp. Olivia would also create short films and participate in the weekly news in her communications arts class in high school.

In 2019 Olivia won silver in Broadcast News for SKILLS USA New Jersey, As the only person in the control room, she worked as the director, live switcher, camera coordinator, and teleprompter operator.
